Grafy

Prepare — get a file ready to publish

Upscale to the resolution you need and reshape to the aspect ratio a platform wants. Every job is filed as a new file; the original is never touched.

Prepare on Grafy

What it makes

Prepare gets a finished file ready to publish. Upscale it to the resolution you actually need, measured on the longest side, and reshape it to whatever aspect ratio a platform demands without cropping the subject out of the frame. The pixels that have to be invented are filled with an eye on the subject.

For the step between making something and posting it, when one picture has to become a square, a story and a banner without losing what it was of.

How a session works

  1. Pick the file from your library and say how big it needs to be, in pixels on the longest side.
  2. Choose the aspect ratio the destination wants; the subject is kept in frame and the gap is filled around it.
  3. Take the result, which is filed as a new asset with the original left exactly as it was.

What it costs

Every upscale and every reshape spends credits for the job it runs. Nothing is charged for keeping the result, and the original is never re-processed.

Generation spends credits: paid plans include a monthly allowance, the Free plan starts with a one-time welcome grant, and you can top up at any time.

Included from the Max plan.

Questions

Will it crop my subject out?
No. Reshaping keeps the subject in frame and fills the pixels that do not exist yet, rather than cutting the picture down to the new shape.
Does it overwrite my original?
Never. Every job is filed as a new file beside the original, so a reshape you do not like costs you nothing but the run.
How large can I upscale?
You set the target by longest side in pixels, so you ask for the size the destination needs rather than a multiplier and a guess.
Can I prepare something I made elsewhere?
Yes. Anything in your asset library can be prepared, whether Grafy generated it or you uploaded it.
